The View on Grossmans

We paid $400 for what became the worst night ever. The towels were rough, smelled bad, and there were only two for use after two showers. The doona was far too small for the bed, and there was no soap or face washers. Since it was Christmas, we also expected a welcome pack, but there wasn’t one or even bottled water. When I tried to talk to the owners, I was told to go to the Caravan Park next time and get a piece of dirt for $150. We’d travelled over three hours and were treated like dirt. The husband was so rude, and we left in tears. Apparently everything was our problem. Absolutely devastated. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

This was our second stay at View on Grossmans, and this time we brought our teenagers. The chalet’s cooking facilities were a real help with keeping food costs down, and the place had everything we needed. We also appreciated how understanding Dale and Patricia were when we mentioned a few extra visitors were coming for afternoon tea. They’re friendly, helpful hosts, and the chalet was clean and comfortable as always. We’ll be back, and our visitors said they’d like to stay here next time too.

Patricia was very gracious when she showed my husband and me to a room, even though I realised on arrival that I hadn’t actually booked one. She made it feel like no trouble at all. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view over the pool and bush. Thanks for a comfortable stay. I’d highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the sunset view from the balcony across the field was spectacular. We even saw kangaroos in the evening and morning. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh and good quality, and there was nice seating inside and out. Everything was clean, accessible, and just right for a short or long stay. One of my favourite places from our three-week holiday in Australia. Thank you, Dale.
