The Croft Bed and Breakfast

We stayed two peaceful nights at The Croft, where the farm animals were friendly and we had our own pool just outside the front door. It was a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Karen and John were warm, welcoming hosts who took such care to surprise and spoil their guests. I'd definitely recommend it as a hideaway.

Karen was a great host during our lovely weekend at the Croft B/B, and nothing was a problem. The scenery is stunning and well worth seeing. Bacon and fresh eggs at breakfast were a lovely touch, and the extra eggs Karen gave us disappeared quickly. Thank you!

We arrived to such a warm greeting from Karen, who treated us like old friends. The welcome platter was delicious, and the five-star accommodation felt homely, peaceful and like our own private resort. Karen's homemade strawberry and marmalade jam was delicious, as was the locally smoked bacon. The weather kept us from exploring the lovely gardens and property, so coming back is definitely on our bucket list. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and recharge, stay at The Croft B&B. You won't be disappointed.

We've just come back for a second stay because the accommodation is so lovely and the hosts are welcoming and generous. The Croft has two well-presented, well-equipped suites, about a five-minute drive from Murwillumbah. The studio looks over the pool from the front and the forest and hills from its rear balcony. That balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy the complimentary welcome platter and watch the sun go down. The larger one-bedroom apartment has a split level with a single step, a spacious separate bedroom, a small TV and sitting room, and an eat-in kitchen. It also has a private sundeck overlooking the pool and a rear balcony facing the garden and hills. Both units have attractive, spacious bathrooms and quality linens. Karen and John generously supplied home-grown tomatoes and herbs, eggs from their hens, and Karen's homemade jams. We enjoyed the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, walks in Springbrook and Border Ranges National Parks, a visit to the Margaret Olley Centre, and the cafes and shops in Murwillumbah and nearby towns.
