Our Christmas plans were ruined when, a day before we were due to arrive, we got an email saying our booking had been cancelled. We'd booked in September 2024 and paid a deposit. My partner called reception and spoke to an extremely rude person who didn't seem to care. The room had apparently been rebooked to someone else at a higher rate, yet the motel still claims a $205 cancellation fee even though we didn't cancel. They've refused to return our deposit. Absolutely disgusting. I'd give less than one star if I could. It looks like we'll have to contact consumer affairs and use social media to name and shame the place.

We'd definitely stay again. Management made room for our last-minute booking on a busy weekend and were lovely, helpful and always smiling. Every staff member I encountered was excellent, and they went out of their way to ask if we needed anything. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Ten out of ten for me.

I meant to stay for three days at Tuncurry Beach Motel, but ended up extending and then extending again, for about three weeks altogether. It's a three-star motel with the services you need. My room had a microwave and toaster, a comfortable bed and a good amount of space. The pool was great and very well maintained. The two on-site managers were fantastic, always helpful in every interaction and made the stay pleasant. I'd be very happy to stay here again.

The walls were so thin we could hear everything next door. In room 2, the beds and pillows were stiff, and the TV remote was disgusting. We also found blood on a pillow. The carpet felt tacky, and the room seemed outdated and in need of a deep clean. We stayed one night and will look elsewhere next time.

The owners are lovely and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Our room was clean, and our booking had been arranged in advance. The pool was clean and well kept, with separate towels available on request. Shops are close by, and the swimming and bowling club is about 100 metres away for dinner or a cold beer. We’ll definitely be back.
