Our booking had been made in November for 5 January, so we could stay near the beach with our two young children and dog after visiting family over Christmas. Two days before arrival, the new owners called to confirm it for two adults and a dog. I pointed out that both children were included when we booked. They said the previous owners had failed to record that and the room was too small for them. Rather than move us to a suitable room, the owner tried to charge another $150 during the busiest time of year. We were on a set budget and hadn't made the booking error, so I asked to be moved without an extra charge. The owner hung up, didn't answer further calls, then texted to say the booking had been cancelled and refunded. That left us without a place to stay just days before arrival, with two small children and our dog. There was no offer of help or another option. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic care was shocking. I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

We needed help with our boat at night, and the people running the place went above and beyond for us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the price was good, and it’s close to town and the water. Great value. We’d recommend staying here and will be back soon, 10/10.

The room felt up to date, and check-in was seamless. Everything is central, with new management and refurbishment. There wasn’t an iron in the room, which was the only issue. Even with the light outside the windows on all night, I slept like a baby. The curtains handled it, and I felt safe.

The people running this budget place were friendly, and I needed somewhere dog friendly at short notice. It isn’t luxury, but my room had all the things you want and the main areas were clean. There was dust and fingerprints on some other surfaces, and the window rattled in the wind all night. It also had a mini fridge, kettle, toaster, and microwave. The room was strongly scented, maybe to cover dog smells? Fine for an affordable stay.
