Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat

We spent plenty of time outside on the porch, with its padded lounge chairs, BBQ and table, and the bathroom was another favourite, especially the rainforest shower, spa and forest view. The room was spacious, clean and rustic with a modern touch. We came for a surprise birthday getaway, and the beautiful surroundings, birds, creek and mountain views lived up to our expectations. After hiking, we cooled off with a dip in the creek, then played billiards and board games in the wine bar/rec room. There are also a few good hiking trails. Our host was kind and professional. I’d recommend it for couples needing some RnR.

The two breakfast hampers were packed with fresh, tasty local produce, and we appreciated having two complimentary EV fast chargers available. We also enjoyed the short walk to see the glow worms and take in the rainforest. The place feels wonderfully peaceful, with the sound of the creek all around. There are walking tracks, rock pools, DVDs/Netflix, board games, table tennis and a pool table, so there’s plenty to do. Our room was clean and well equipped, and the fireplace was especially welcome on cool, rainy nights. A great choice for a relaxing couples getaway.

The food, cocktails, scenery and accommodation were all world class, with every detail feeling carefully considered. We could enjoy the sense of having the rainforest to ourselves when we wanted quiet, while warm, attentive service was close by whenever we needed something. We spent three nights at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation. They’ve found a lovely balance between seclusion and luxury. It was a wonderful way to begin married life, and we can’t praise the place enough.

The team worked with my partner to make this the best birthday I’ve ever had, and I’m so grateful. The extra touches they arranged made everything feel personal. In a beautiful, quiet rainforest setting, it was easy to relax and reconnect. The food was amazing, service impeccable, and the care and thought put into every part of our stay went well beyond what I expected. My heart is full. We had a perfect time and will treasure the memories.
