Reflections Urunga - Holiday Park

Great location, close to everything, and a nice spot for dogs. The downside was the noise: there was always a crowd in the shared kitchen at night, so I'd avoid that site if possible. The mower also ran every morning.

The enclosed beach behind the park was lovely, and the local SPAR supermarket was sensational. The bed was comfortable, with a TV in the bedroom, and the kitchen had enough equipment plus a full-sized fridge. We stayed in a standard cabin near the main office, outside the secure boom gate. The air-conditioner had been switched on before we arrived, which was a nice surprise. It looked clean and well maintained at first, but later I noticed a hair on the toilet seat, grouting in the shower that needed bleach, cobwebs on the exhaust fan, and fat splatter on the stove splash-back. After getting strep throat from utensils at a Brisbane hotel, I washed the forks and glasses in hot soapy water. At $270 a night, it still felt expensive.

Internet was effectively unavailable during our stay. The 4G/5G signal was poor, with an intermittent one bar of 4G at best, and the park wifi connected but was unusable. I work remotely, so without usable wifi I have no income. That isn't acceptable in 2026, especially at the tariff we paid. The park and cabin themselves were very clean, well maintained, comfortable, and close to everything, but very, very expensive.

Cafes, restaurants, groceries, a butcher, clubs and a pub are all close by, so the location is excellent. The board walk is being renewed and it needed it. Looking forward to it being finished in 2027!!! The camping amenities need a proper scrub, not just a wipe down.
