Vacy Hunter Valley Lodge

The river and lovely views made it easy to slow down. We enjoyed walks beside the water, fresh air, and the calm surroundings, and left feeling refreshed. Vacy Hunter Valley Lodge had well-kept facilities and spaces that made it easy to relax. The owner greeted us warmly and was friendly and accommodating from the start. My partner and I found the lodge a wonderful escape, with welcoming hospitality and beautiful accommodation. We came away with great memories and would highly recommend it.

We had a clean, basic room in a quiet spot, with the general store/cafe nearby and the Pub next door. Parking is right by the door, though the awning is low if you have a high vehicle. The bed was reasonably comfortable. There was also a single bed alongside the double, so three people could sleep there, but we only had two coffee mugs. The TV wasn’t ready to use. It needed an account for the apps, and there were no free-to-air channels tuned in, so we couldn’t check the news or weather. We were there for a work event, and the business owner booked the room.

The gardens and outdoor areas were well maintained, and I enjoyed relaxing there with a glass of local wine. The location made it easy to get to the wineries and other attractions around the region. Inside, the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and thoughtful details that made them feel cosy. The staff were friendly and ready to help throughout my stay, and the warm welcome made me feel valued. My holiday at the Vacy lodge in Hunter Valley was a memorable, rejuvenating break. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant escape.

The garden retreat was a great place to sit at sunset and unwind after a busy day, with peaceful scenery all around. We were there for a two-night business trip, and the host was very accommodating to my wife and me.
