Dolphin Shores

The room looked a little dated, but it seemed clean, and there were no problems. On-site parking was handy too. It's a great base for visiting beaches around the area, and the owner was friendly and helpful with local recommendations. We even spotted wallabies outside the motel one evening.

The accommodation was okay, though a few things weren't working properly, including a TV that kept losing its signal and the shower pressure. I also felt the owner treated my cousin and me unfairly in one situation. Another couple had mistaken our room for theirs, but I got the impression the owner focused on us because we were two young men, while the other couple were foreign. The way it was handled felt condescending and rude, with very little reasoning. The hotel itself was alright, but customer service could be better. I'd still recommend it, though I'd look at other options too.

The owner was nice and knew a lot about the area. Everything was very clean, and although the rooms may be a little dated, they're well maintained. We stayed for two nights on holiday and I'd go back.

Our stay was awful. The owner watched our every move from the time we arrived, which made us really uncomfortable. After the first night, we left even though we'd paid for two more, and he refused to refund us. We had to drive three hours home after just one night, and the kids were very upset. It's hard for us to get away with three children under four. The bed was dirty and smelly, the carpet was old and dusty, there was no body wash, and the bathroom handle was broken, leaving us locked inside a few times. The pool mentioned in the listing was only a little bigger than my bathtub. The owner blamed us for his faulty furniture. I'm sure he'll blame more people for breaking it, so I provided some photos. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
