We look forward to stopping here at least once a year, as The Townhouse Hotel Wagga is a perfect midway point between Melbourne and Sydney, and it never disappoints. The location is excellent, and the rooms are consistently spotless and comfortable. What really stands out is the service. During our latest stay, one AC unit wasn’t working. When we mentioned it the next morning, the gentleman at reception explained they keep portable units on hand and would have gladly arranged one. We were also offered a complimentary coffee as we left, a thoughtful touch we appreciated. Reliable, welcoming and well run. Highly recommended when passing through Wagga.

The King room, no. 110, was a good size, with a good shower, TV and very comfortable bed. But the noise around us made sleep impossible. At 3am, loud partying, yelling, screaming and door banging started and continued for over an hour. I’m very surprised management didn’t stop it. We won’t be back.

The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and the hotel is in a handy spot near shops and lots of food options. It was easy to find, the fit-out felt modern and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

The room was a good size and the king bed was very comfortable, and staff were helpful with a free cup of coffee. But this was our fourth stay over the years, and unfortunately it was a terrible one. People in another room, or rooms, woke us at 3am with drunken partying that carried on for over an hour. I was told afterwards we could have called an after-hours number to report it. The door closers also need adjusting because they made a loud bang through the night. We got very little sleep. If we return, I’d have preferred a good discount.

The room itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It was also easy to walk into town for restaurants and cafes. But the layout was a deal breaker for us as a family. Our room sat between two hallways, and its floor-to-ceiling windows opened straight onto another corridor. Anyone passing could see in, so we kept them closed and got no natural light. That might be fine if you're there for work or barely spend time in the room, but it didn't suit us.
