Anchor Belle Motel

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the motel is close to town. But the rooms felt very old, some lights and the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, and the bathroom door wouldn't close. I stayed over the long weekend and the price was way above average. I felt ripped off. I wouldn't recommend going then, you'd pay $1200.

Coming back from days out to this cosy hotel felt like returning to my second home. The staff were wonderful and had everything I needed. I especially want to mention Helen, who was very kind and took care of all my requests, even with me asking for a lot as a 10 year old. There was Netflix, a barbecue area and guest laundry too. I know those are listed on the sign, but I wanted to give them a mention.

We were travelling on two motorcycles and felt very welcome at The Anchor Belle. Reception greeted us with a smile, checked us in quickly, and our rooms were spotless and inviting. It's just off Warrnambool's main drag, so the place was quiet at night, though only about a four minute walk from the centre. We found a pub for the evening and it was easy to head off the next day. Thanks, Anchor Belle. We'll stay here again on our next Warrnambool trip.

I spent almost two weeks in Warrnambool and found this motel comfortable, with easy access to restaurants, shops, local attractions and other amenities. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. When they were full because of a local bicycle event, they even went out of their way to find me alternative accommodation for two nights. My room was a reasonable size and comfortable for the length of my stay. It's a 3.5 star place rather than a 5 star one, and I thought the price was fair for what was provided. I'd absolutely stay again.
