The Abbey

The few things that fell short were disappointing, especially given the premium price. We arrived the day before the wedding to find patchy dirt on the grounds, without any warning, and had planned canapés and photos for the grassy area. The table layout also differed from what we'd discussed in pre-planning. Some flavour combinations in the catering didn't work together, and the risotto in particular could have been better. I also wish all staff had worn consistent uniforms, as one or two weren't dressed to match the otherwise professional team. Communication between staff could be frustrating, and we sometimes had to provide documents and details more than once because we weren't sure the filing system was working well. Still, the team were friendly and responsive from the start, checked in on us, and brought our preferred drinks, snacks and water throughout the day. They were attentive and detail-oriented at the rehearsal, met our ceremony plans, and adjusted smoothly to the weather. Having a wet weather backup took stress away. They also added disability ramps and reserved parking for key guests, and the wishing well, tables and setup were lovely inclusions. The building, grounds and accommodation are stunning, and our wedding suite was a dream. Checkout was easy even though we left early. Despite those small issues, the day at Abbey was incredibly special and memorable. The staff genuinely cared, and we're grateful for all their work. We'd absolutely recommend it to other couples looking for a beautiful venue with a supportive team.

The owners are lovely and make sure you can relax during your stay. This historic building is clearly being cared for, and it's a great place to visit and stay. Take a wander and soak up the history, and have a look at the guests guide in the rooms. It's a good read, and the owners have a great sense of humour. I'll be back, and if I ever get remarried, don't tell the wife, I'd hold the wedding here.

We loved The Abbey and would gladly stay again. The old building is beautiful and full of history, with lovely grounds and spacious, comfortable rooms that had everything we needed. Everyone on staff was lovely. Our private bathroom was across the hall, but we managed without any awkward run-ins with other guests, and the provided bathrobes were a blessing. A short walk to Warwick centre, yet still peaceful. Thanks so much!

The jasmine was in bloom, scenting the many lovely places to sit and enjoy the grounds, and we loved seeing the cute chickens wandering around. Everything was so clean and peaceful, with comfy beds and lovely linen. Mum and I had a wonderful three-night stay in this beautiful old converted convent, and fell in love with the history within its walls. Thank you, Lisa, for arranging fresh flowers, a charcuterie board and wine for our arrival to celebrate Mum's 84th birthday. She felt very special. We didn't want to leave!
