Fitzpatrick's Inn

The historic house was beautiful, with four bedrooms and an ensuite for each, plus a fully equipped kitchen. We made use of the ballroom dining room to play cards around its lovely table. We were upgraded there during our one night at Fitzpatrick's Inn while travelling with friends on the way to Stanley. The local pub, about a 15 minute walk away, served good food. A lovely stay, thanks to Nigel and Bec.

Wallabies came to graze in the garden in the morning, and we enjoyed having direct garden access for wine and cheese in the afternoon. It's a nice little spot for a night or two. The heritage room was on the small side, as you'd expect, but the bathroom was roomy and very clean. The air con worked well and the bed was comfortable enough for two. The owners communicated outstandingly, and finding and using the key box and appliances was easy. All in all, a good place to stay.

We spent two nights in Myra's room, and our first reaction when we opened the door was that it was beautiful. It was cosy and decorated so nicely. We wandered through the gardens and read about the place's history, and we'll be back. The room was amazing value. I only wish the whole property had been open, including the other lovely rooms and the amazing dining room where we would have loved to eat. Have a look at the website and you'll see what I mean. Natalie and I really enjoyed it.

The owner was so kind and welcoming that we felt right at home. We loved the garden and outdoor space, and the rooms had a distinctive design, blending an old-time feel with a modern look. It was a very comfortable stay, and we'll definitely come back.
