Wodonga Caravan & Cabin Park

We booked three nights for a nearby gokart race and wanted somewhere affordable, close and comfortable. At $125 a night for a 6 berth, it seemed almost too cheap and we wondered what we’d get, but the cabin was perfect. It was roomy and clean, with everything we needed, including a nice bathroom and kitchen and clean floors. The main bed was comfy; the bunks were a little springy, though I guess that’s fairly standard at caravan parks. It was quiet, in a perfect location, and the staff at check-in were lovely. There was even a coffee pod machine, though only two coffee capsules for the three-night stay. Clean and affordable is what we look for, so we’ll definitely stay again.

We were told the downgrade from our superior cabin to a standard room was an error on their part, but there were no rooms left, so we had no choice. We paid the same price for the smaller room and weren’t offered any compensation. We’d booked the superior cabin in January, then moved the booking to March rather than cancel when fires meant we couldn’t go. I’ve heard this happens, where you book one room and arrive to find it isn’t what you requested or paid for. Very disappointing. I’ll think twice before booking again.

I left my butter chicken in the fridge, sorry staff members. Hope you enjoyed it in the staff room, or maybe threw it in the bin, since you can’t trust random blokes’ leftover butter chicken. It’s a good cheap stopover on the way from Melbourne to literally anywhere else.

This is a small style van park, close to all services. It’s quiet and well maintained, with clean showers and toilets. Some of the drive through sites have excellent access. I’d recommend the park.
