The Sunday raffle at the bowls club was the highlight, I won two meat trays. The location is handy, close to the beach and the club. But the park is council run and the facilities feel old and tired. Honestly, I’ve stayed at better-equipped showgrounds. They really need an overhaul.

The staff were quick to answer questions and help, and I’ve already booked two more stays. We had a powered site, with clean amenities and a BBQ. The beach, ocean pool and river are all very close, as are shops and clubs. There’s an easy bike track to follow too. This is now my go-to park for a relaxing break.

We had a lovely unpowered site, and the place was quiet with friendly guests. The camp kitchen is excellent, probably the best we’ve come across. Block 4’s amenities are modern and clean, with great shower pressure. It’s right on the beach, and the reception team were awesome.

The park is clean and tidy, and the friendly staff seem to manage it well. There’s a cafe on site, plus an easy walk to the bowls club for dinner and to a little shopping area with a great cafe. You’re also close to the rock pool and right by the area’s great walking path. Beach access is from the park, too. A terrific find for a relaxing stay.

The room was disappointing before we even got to the noise: we had to make our own beds, the pillows were flat and useless, and there was no internet. It didn’t feel like what you’d expect from a family-friendly caravan park for the money. One evening, guests dragged a drumkit outside and played for hours. Management did nothing, with no warning or enforcement of rules. Those same guests blocked the road with a giant Cadillac, making it impossible for others to come and go, and staff again took no action. It was an appalling stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
