Surfside 22

The location is hard to beat, about 30 seconds from the beach, and we really enjoyed the sauna and pool. My girlfriend and I stayed five nights, and the room was one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotel rooms I've been in. Everything from the kitchen accessories to the bathroom felt well considered. Staff stayed on top of things, with daily room cleaning and fresh coffee pods, milk, and sugar. Loved our stay and would book again when we're back in Wollongong. Thanks again Surfside 22!!

The human touch is what makes Surfside 22 special. Contactless check-in is seamless, everything works simply, and help is there when you need it. The location is great too. The rooms are immaculate, and the cleaning team are lovely to chat with. They’ve been that way since my first visit, even before I became a regular. I stay often now, so they know me, ahahaha. Jemima and the whole Surfside family make you feel welcome and important. Jemima seems to connect with anyone, and nothing feels like too much trouble. That warmth runs through the place. The new van is a great addition, with coffee, cocktails, and food, all served in a welcoming, thoughtful way. Photos can't quite capture the feeling of being there, safe and genuinely looked after. I usually book through third parties to save money, but I’d tell people to call and book directly. They price match without making it awkward, and it’s a nice way to support a true family business.

We booked at the last minute for a few days away from Sydney, and Tahlia and the team looked after us so well. Because the heat had taken out our aircon, they upgraded our room as soon as we arrived, without hesitation. The location is ideal, with the beach, cafes, and restaurants all walkable. The room cleanliness was the best I’ve seen, and the amenities were great. Would stay again next trip. Thanks team x

Surfside 22 was our best stay in Wollongong. The design details give the place a great feel, and the sauna alone was worth the room price. The app made access to both the gate and room easy. Talia and Jemima were lovely, welcoming, and helpful, even carrying our heavy luggage up to the second floor. Right by the beach and close to the centre, it felt more like a little resort or boutique oasis than a motel. Highly recommend.
