We keep coming back each year to unwind and catch up with friends we’ve made here. The kids can make lovely memories away from devices and social media, and there are hidden spots nearby like Greenhlades beach, the jetty and boat ramp, Merrica and Nadgee wilderness. Sarah, Luke and the team are such lovely hosts, and you can see how much effort goes into keeping this camping, caravan and cabin haven looking after. There are places for a range of budgets. We haven’t tried the fully refurbed flat behind the office yet, but it looks 5 star. Even the older, budget-style cabins are clean, with fresh linen, and are self-contained with pretty much everything you need, including a bbq. The terraced campsites sit on a hillside, with stairs up to an older but well-maintained amenities block. It’s a beautiful, semi-remote spot, so it’s worth planning ahead and bringing supplies, though Eden is only about 15-20min away if you need town. Families can enjoy a proper nature holiday here without the massive overinflated prices further up the coast. I hope this place never changes. I think I’ll keep coming until I can’t, hopefully from old age!
