The Boat House

The beachfront position is excellent, but the house is rented for a huge amount and basic maintenance hasn't been done. It costs more on booking.com than on other sites, and booking.com doesn't honour its price guarantee. The carport floor was covered in green ants eating maggots from the bins, which was yuk. The main bathroom had a longstanding mould problem and peeling paint, and the shower had to be tied up to use. The breadboard was mouldy too. All the fridge cartridges were flashing that they needed replacing, so we couldn't use the water or ice machine. My son fell through a decking board, and lots of the boards feel spongy and need replacing. On top of that, the cleaner was the rudest man I've ever met. He arrived without warning at exactly 10 am, yelling at me to leave immediately. I was only three minutes late and had been waiting to show him the maintenance problems because the property manager hadn't replied. Being yelled at like that was horrible and ruined the end of my week's holiday. I'll never book with these managers again.
