Lyola Pavilions in the Forest

Jane made Mum’s 77th birthday feel so special, even baking croissants for a memorable morning during our extra-long weekend. We arrived to complimentary wine, cheese and crackers, and each morning there was fresh homemade bread with eggs, butter and jams. Such thoughtful touches, along with Jane’s kindness and hospitality, made us feel right at home. The peaceful setting was just what we needed to relax and recharge. We really didn’t want to leave, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Jane, for creating such a lovely hideaway. I’m so grateful we got to experience it. We spent our time off the grid playing games, drawing, and enjoying some proper time together. Each morning we had the owner’s fresh bread with house-made Davidson’s plum jam, such a nice start to the day. The view from the Seek Pavillion at Lyola was stunning, especially at sunset. The air was so crisp and cool that we opened the windows and bundled up in blankets just to breathe it in and listen to the wildlife.

Lyola has been our favourite place in the world since our first visit in 2020, when Dean surprised me with a proposal in ‘Seek’. We’ve now been back for our seventh, or maybe eighth, trip, celebrating so many special moments in ‘our cabin’, usually ‘Hide’ (not playing favourites!). Jane always looks after us so well. Our twice-yearly forest breaks are something we really look forward to, especially that amazing fresh hot bread each morning. Thanks for all you do to make the place feel so magical, Jane.
