Eagle Aruba Resort

The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom was dangerously hot, enough to scald my hands. There was no cold water in the kitchen either, so I’d like the on-site management to know about that. Our group of seven had a wonderful stay. From the suite we looked out over the waterfall pool, where we spent most of the day and late afternoons during happy hours. Everyone we met greeted us with a smile and “bon dia.” It was a short walk across the property to famous Eagle Beach, and farther north along the beach to the famous Fofoi trees.

The rooms feel a little dated, even after the renovation years ago, but they’re extremely clean and the property is meticulously kept. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location is hard to beat, just a two-minute walk to Eagle Beach. Say hi to Papi at Uncle Tony's by the pool.

We really enjoyed Aruba, and the resort made getting to the beach easy, with dedicated sections where you can reserve a spot. During holiday season, get there early. Eagle beach is quieter and less crowded than Palm beach, which is only about a 10-minute drive away. There were several pools, a hot tub, and restaurants for quick bites. The kitchenette in the rooms worked well for families. We loved the beach, the convenience, the water activities, and how safe and friendly Aruba felt.

We stayed with our teenagers and were very disappointed. At check-in and checkout, the front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and rushed. Long lines were common, with staff standing around and seeming uninterested in helping. It was also hard to find anyone for basic things like arranging a taxi, getting towels, or answering questions. Our penthouse had very few amenities, and the room wasn’t clean enough. The floors were so dirty our bare feet turned black, so we had to wear sandals indoors. At the on-site restaurant, service was slow even during a quiet happy hour. The food was poor, and the drinks just okay, far below what we expected from a resort. This place fell short on cleanliness, service, and hospitality. We wouldn’t recommend it, especially to families.
