Aruba Beach Villas

Loved the place. The rooms are beautiful and make you feel like you're staying in an Arubean house. It's close to the area's best beaches, too. A wonderful experience.

The apartment was clean, spacious, and had what we needed, though the frying pan was in rough shape. We got wifi, and the service was great. The outdoor table has seen better days. It's about 2-3 km to Palm Beach, a 15-20 minute walk, and closer to Malmok Beach and Arashi Beach. A little rough around the edges, but the location is great.

We left for a clean, safe place within minutes of arriving. The pool was so cloudy it looked like something might be breeding in it, and the old wooden picnic table seemed liable to give me a splinter. Inside, the toilet seat was stained, there were two dead flies on the kitchen counter, and the bathroom window had been left slightly open and unlocked. There was nowhere secure for money, passports, or valuables. When I locked the room door, it was so loose that we felt really unsafe. Check-in was a note on the door saying they'd missed us, typed rather than handwritten, and another note telling E. Carlino that the room was E-6 with an arrow. The room was unlocked, with a key on the table and a note saying, "Please do not feed the cats." My wife had stopped speaking, and I was trying to make it okay. I booked a cab on my laptop, and thankfully we were soon on our way somewhere clean and safe. Do NOT go here unless you are HOMELESS.

The management refused to return my money, despite the policy saying cancellations within 15 days would receive a 50% refund. We had reserved three nights, but arrived to find the water off and the shower dismantled for repairs. The furnishings looked 50-60 years old, and the place smelled so bad that my seven-year-old granddaughter started crying and coughing. I was there with her and my niece, and we couldn't stay. We lost a whole vacation day trying to find somewhere suitable. Hugely disappointing. Bad place, bad management. Do not stay there.
