This update is for anyone staying at Wariruri, including renters, owners and employees of companies working on site to maintain it. It’s now day six, and Wariruri condo builder, owner and HOA President Giovanni di Vecchia still hasn’t responded to a reported fire safety hazard. Calls are hung up on, ignored or blocked, and emails to the builder and Wariruri HOA go unanswered. Be careful doing business with Giovanni di Vecchia. The photos show water damage from roof flooding in October 2023. The paint bubbled, and the wall had to be stripped and repaired in 2025. Now water is dripping from an overhead balcony light that no longer works, most likely because of a leak related to earlier construction deficiencies. The lights inside the condo flicker too. The lights flicker when the dishwasher starts, which draws a lot of power and can cause a temporary voltage dip if circuits are shared or wiring is loose. A brief flicker at startup can be normal, but ongoing or severe flickering can signal a larger electrical problem that needs an electrician and may pose a fire hazard.

Our host Mark was very helpful and checked several times to see if we needed anything. Wariruri’s pool and tropical landscaping are magnificent, and the complex has good security, plenty of parking and a numbered spot for each unit. It’s only a few minutes by car to Boca Catalina and Arashi beaches. We stayed in unit 115, a beautiful modern one-bedroom on the ground floor. The tropical landscaping around the unit was spectacular, and we were delighted to find our own palapa on the back patio. Inside, the kitchen had high-end equipment, plus all the pots, pans and utensils we needed to cook. The living room was a relaxing place to read or watch the huge TV, with all the channels you’d want. The bathroom had a large mirror, good lighting, a nice vanity with lots of storage, and a large shower with the best shower head I’ve ever used. The bedroom’s king bed was extremely comfortable and had a motorized head incline. There was plenty of hanging and shelf space for clothes, and the dimmer lighting was a nice touch. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was convenient.

Wariruri Condos feels like a home away from home. The complex in Noord is beautifully landscaped, and its resort-style pool is actually good for swimming. There’s an on site restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking in the gourmet kitchen or using the outdoor BBQ area. Each condo has its own parking spot, and several beaches and the rugged north coast are nearby.

The location was perfect for getting around by car, and we can’t wait to return after such an amazing trip. Everyone at Wariruri was friendly, the amenities were beautiful and clean, and the pool was perfect. Our condo had everything we needed. Vanessa from the office was a huge help with everything we did.

We spent two days at the Wariruri and loved the condo. Aruba Vacations provided a first-class one-bedroom apartment with fast internet, a huge hot tub and pool, and a very nice outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. Netflix and YouTube were already set up for us to use.
