Holiday Inn Resort Aruba

The location is a real plus, with Palm Beach nightlife within walking distance and great private beach access, including plenty of shaded seating. The resort restaurants were good too, especially the oceanside bar for snacks and drinks, and the breakfast buffet was decent. Our room was disappointing for the price. It was small, the bathroom was tiny, and the TVs seemed decades old. There was no streaming access, and several channels didn't work, so watching a sports event might not be possible. They may not be able to change the room sizes, but the TVs, check-in process, and vending machines should be brought up to current standards.

The restaurants outside the resort were much better, and they're all within walking distance. Inside, everything costs extra, even an umbrella, which is $40 a day at the beach. There weren't enough pool chairs either, so expect to get up early to claim one. The rooms are like Motel 6. If you want a basic hotel and don't mind the expense, this may work. But unless you drink a lot, skip all inclusive, since the food isn't very good.

On our recent Aruba trip, April 10-16, 2026, we had the only bad experience we've ever had at an Aruba resort. We booked through JetBlue and were put in the Sea Tower in a room with two queen beds. Right next door, Moomba's beach bar turns into a club, with extremely loud music until about 2:30 a.m. The bass shook the room and made sleep impossible. When I went to the front desk around 2:00 a.m., they said it would close soon and nothing could be done. The next morning, we packed up and asked a manager to move us. Lisa Maria said we'd have to check out and wait until the 4:00 p.m. check-in time for another room, though she'd try to get us in sooner. We asked for a quieter part of the resort, but she said there were about three bars or clubs nearby and that anyone sensitive to noise might not find it quieter. She was rude and made it sound like we were being too sensitive. We waited until around 1:00 p.m. for a room. It was a downgrade, smaller, with two double beds instead of queens. The balcony was level with, or slightly above, the main lobby roof, so we looked out at air conditioners and debris, including dirty towels blown onto it. We plan to return to Aruba next year, but we'll stay somewhere else. We wouldn't recommend the All Inclusive Holiday Inn Resort & Casino Aruba Beach. There are better resorts available, without rude managers.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here from February 14 to 20, 2026, and were happy with every part of the hotel. The one thing that bothered me was a faint sewage smell in the water while swimming off the beach. I know Aruba has some sewage problems in general, and I hope they get fixed in the future.
