I went to a pool party here, but the area around the pool wasn’t in great shape.

The island was great, but this house was in terrible shape. I’d avoid renting it through Airbnb unless they make some repairs first. The pool was dirty and its pump didn’t work. Twice in one week, a man came to clean it, ran a portable pump for five minutes, then left. The water stayed yellow and the bottom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. The jacuzzi was broken and held together with tape, the sink kept clogging, and the iron by the stove didn’t work because its wires were broken, though the woman insisted it did. The BBQ was dirty when we arrived, though they came to clean it later. The house hadn’t been cleaned, and there was dirty laundry left behind. There was no shampoo or toilet paper in the bathrooms until we complained, and then they brought only a few towels. Everything was old and seemed to have had no maintenance. Even the pool table was broken where the balls land, so they fell onto the floor. I’m sharing this so someone else doesn’t have the same experience when they’re trying to enjoy a few days in Aruba.
