We’ve just returned from a week here, and for us it’s the perfect resort. We chose all inclusive and found it good value since we spent the days eating and drinking on the beach and only had dinner off site once. Every restaurant was delicious, and the few dishes that cost extra on the all inclusive plan were only a small additional charge. This is a quiet place to unwind at one of the island’s best beaches. It doesn’t have an active pool scene or daily activities. The beach is public, though staff make sure the palappas are reserved for guests. With almost one chair per room, we never struggled to find a spot. The rooms are nice, if not lavish. The beach is about 100 yards away, so I’d choose an ocean view room over ocean front. All the staff were great, and Julian on the beach stood out. His wit and eye for detail made every day better.

Eagle Beach is still one of Aruba’s most beautiful beaches, and its location is why I’ve returned to Manchebo Beach Resort for the past four years. This time will be my last. At close to $900 a night, the property feels dated, the value no longer matches the cost, and service from staff outside the friendly front desk has declined compared with earlier visits. The modest loyalty discount doesn’t give me much reason to return. The beach experience was my biggest disappointment. I respect that Aruba’s beaches are public, but there were consistently more non-guests than resort guests using the palapas. Security didn’t seem effective, and it wasn’t clear what beach security was doing. I’m an early riser and regularly went down to find a spot. During the week I repeatedly dealt with a beach supervisor named William, who was rude and unprofessional, dismissive in his tone, and often put towels on front-row palapas at 5:30 a.m. to mark them “reserved.” Even as a paying guest staying for the full week, I couldn’t get a good spot several times. I understand staff may be under pressure, but respectful, professional communication should be basic at a resort like this. Guests shouldn’t be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because other people are using the public beach. For a small resort with access to such a large beach, the area felt unusually crowded and poorly managed. There are many nearby places that offer better value while still letting guests enjoy Eagle Beach. Manchebo needs consistent service, effective security, and staff training in guest relations. This visit fell short of the expectations set by my previous stays.

For our honeymoon in October, my wife and I finally made it to Aruba after having to cancel in 2021 as frontline healthcare workers. It was our first visit, and the people at Manchebo made it the best time of our lives. We felt like celebrities, and everyone will stay in our hearts and memories. Sending love from NY to our Manchebo “family”, and we hope to return in the next few years. Tip the staff well, they work incredibly hard and deserve it. The hotel was clean and beautiful, and our honeymoon package included dinner on the beach, honestly the best meal we’ve ever had. Andrew greeted us with a smile and great suggestions for places to go. Head Chef Jeffrey came by at every meal to make sure I could enjoy delicious food despite my celiac disease. We can’t say enough about how kind and hardworking everyone was. - Erin and Chelsea

My husband and I stayed at Machebo Beach Report from Nov. 27 through Dec. 2, 2025, and had a perfect visit. It was our first time at this resort after three previous trips to Aruba, and we’ll likely stay here again. Our garden-view room was spacious, with fantastic air conditioning. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food options on site were great, and the beach had the white sand, easy water access, and plenty of palapas we’ve come to love. Liz and Diana were fantastic bartenders and made great drinks!

We paid over $800 a night after booking a few months ahead, and knew supply and demand meant we were overpaying. You’re paying for the location and beach here, rather than the hotel itself. I’d consider returning, but with lower expectations. The positives were the small, quiet property and its beautiful, well-kept grounds. The stunning beach was about a two-minute walk away, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and there were restaurants, a coffee shop, and a convenience store right outside. Borrowing a cooler for free was a nice touch. The rooms were small and dated, with tired furniture and linens. They were clean, but not to the standard I expected at this price. We had to switch rooms, and the second one smelled of mildew and had spots on the ceiling, clearly from an earlier moisture problem. Amenities were limited for the cost, with no snorkel rentals, shuttle, or beach bags. Great beach, location, and kind staff, but the hotel doesn’t match the price.
