This place is handy for an airport arrival or departure. The L2 airport bus stops right outside, and they’ll store your bags free if you arrive before check-in or have a later flight and want to go to the beach. It’s near groceries, restaurants, the beach, and other public transport too. Our deluxe queen room was small but had everything for a comfortable stay, including AC and our own toilet and shower. We made breakfast and dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, then ate in the shaded outdoor seating area, where there were lounge chairs by the pool. The husband and wife who own the place, along with their mother-in-law, were all very sweet. They gave us a papaya grown on the property and some star fruit, and showed us their garden with herbs and other edible plants. After checkout, we could store our bags until we left, use the bathroom by the pool, and keep our food in their fridge.

I visit often, and this time the shared room was $50, which feels pricey when it was only $17 a few years back, lol. The staff were kind, and I just walked in without a reservation. Cool pool and a friendly cat. Next island jawn, I’ll probably check out the other fifty buck pads.

The street was loud with club music and cars, and I only slept five hours before guests next door woke me talking. The shower stayed cold, and my towel smelled bad. My sheet smelled like fermented sweat, so I had to ask for a change, and there were ants on my pillow. At night the AC remote didn’t work and reception was empty. I eventually figured out the batteries were only halfway in, maybe to save battery? The room key was hard to use, and check-in was painful because they spoke very little English. I got no response on WhatsApp or Agoda. I’ve never seen a lodging get so many things wrong. It felt like they were deliberately making the stay awful. I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels on the island without this many problems. If you’re considering it, I have only one word: RUN!!

Ants in the room even though I had no food there, loud nights, and a cold shower. The internet kept cutting out and the WiFi was terrible. The male staff member was rude, though the female staff were nice. Find somewhere else.
