The owners are friendly, helpful, and honest. Tamara (the mom) and her twins (Darren and Dymon) shared useful recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. When the Wi-Fi stopped working, they fixed it within an hour, and they had our room’s power back in less than half an hour. We’d book here again if we return to Aruba. It’s an adult-only, very clean place, with useful things for the beach like towels, chairs, a cooler, snorkeling gear, bug spray, and a first aid kit. The location worked well for us too, about a 10-15 minute drive to Palm Beach or downtown Oranjestad, even with traffic.

The property runs on solar power and is off grid, which is a nice bonus. The staff are friendly local people who know the island and are happy to help. Our room was huge, comfortable, and well furnished, with a private little yard, kitchen, and plunge pool. It’s a peaceful spot since the beaches aren’t within walking distance, but most good places are still only a 5-15 minute drive away. Everything was spotless, and from booking through checkout, the whole experience went smoothly. Honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’d happily return to Aruba and stay here again.

The property is beautiful, with plants and scenery all around that give it a resort feel. My husband and I felt safe there and were taken with how lovely the place was. We’d definitely come back to Aruba and stay here again. We rented a car and could reach beaches, places to eat, and other stops in about 2-10 minutes. Our room had its own mini pool, and there was also a larger pool with a lounge where you could get food and drinks. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. We paid for a 1 o’clock late checkout on the same day without any problem, and everyone was very kind and welcoming. I’m so glad we chose this Airbnb over an all-inclusive resort.

I was happy spending most of the day at the beach, relaxing by the main pool in the afternoon, then sleeping in a quiet room under a view of the stars. The property is fully solar powered and 100% off grid. They provide beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, and bug spray for nearby Eagle Beach. It’s a 25-minute walk, though much of the route has no defined sidewalk, so that won’t suit everyone. A taxi takes under five minutes and should cost about $10 USD. Renting a car can help you explore more of the island. Privada Stays was a great choice for my quick escape from winter cold. It was my second Aruba trip, and I’d choose it again for a stay that feels more like living on the island, away from the tourist crowds. The room had a private yard with a plunge pool, plus a kitchenette with a stove, microwave, small fridge, and what I needed to cook. There’s a market a few minutes away. The rooms are big, clean, and comfortable, with lovely beds, good shower temperature and pressure, and cute themed decor. The main pool lounge serves a limited range of snacks and small bites during the day, and the coffee is decent.

The place is cute and practical, the location is great, and the staff are friendly. Check-in was easy, and we liked having beach chairs and snorkeling gear. We’d consider staying again, but I’d skip the housekeeping and hope the bar improves. We paid the extra $60 for cleaning every four days, scheduled for 9-11am. They can arrive anytime in that window, but for us it was always 9. After a late night, there are no “do not disturb” signs, so you might be woken by a doorbell or alarm. One day an alarm went off in the bedroom; the next, the alarm went off and a cleaner opened the sliding door and called through the curtains. If you miss the cleaners, they don’t come back. The drinks were inconsistent too. I ordered the “sex on the beach” throughout the stay, and it was different each time, with or without ice or garnish, and served in either a paper or plastic cup. They’re strict about noise and loud music, but we heard our neighbors every day. I like all music, so it didn’t bother me, though the rules felt hypocritical.
