Modern Hotel Aruba

The room had lots of space, and there was a handy shortcut to the beach. They supplied fresh towels, beach chairs, and anything else you might need. Loved our stay, and we’ll be back.

We liked the small, intimate, self-service setup, since big chain hotels aren’t really our thing. For the price, it’s hard to beat. We had the white apartment for a week, and it was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space, strong AC, and Netflix. The pool was great, too. You’ll want a car because the hotel is in a residential area. The beach isn’t too far, but the heat made walking difficult, so we were glad to have one. Parking is available in front of the building. There’s no staff member to greet guests, but the lovely woman who handles cleaning and maintenance came to say hello and was wonderful throughout our stay.

We loved the small, friendly feel here. Since it’s a quaint place, you end up meeting other guests and swapping tips on restaurants and things to do, unlike at the big hotels. The view is lovely, and nearly everything is an easy walk or a short drive away. There are coolers and beach chairs available, too. The property is beautifully cared for, and Blanca, the housekeeper, makes guests feel right at home. Mike and Amanda are responsive, welcoming hosts. The boutique hotel has several individually decorated options, each with its own character.

We stayed at the Modern Hotel for a week in Aruba and had such a good time. It was quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed to rest. We spent most of our time with the pool nearly to ourselves, and the kids had a great time there. Our room was clean, and Blanca was always so kind to us. We'd definitely come back.
