The St. Regis Aruba Resort

The staff gave us great experiences throughout, and the rooms were excellent. Our two-bedroom suite felt exceptional, with amazing views, and the hotel is very new. The rooms were clean and very nice. The food was good, not great, though there are amazing restaurants all over the island. The location is nicely set on the long strip. At times we could hear the hotel next door, but that seems like something you'd get at any of the Aruba hotels along the main beach strip. The only real knock was the bedroom doors into the common area. They only opened from the common area side, so if someone shut one, you'd have to go into the hallway and use a key to get back into the common area. With small children that can be awkward, so we kept both bedroom doors open the whole trip to avoid anyone getting locked in or out. If we return to Aruba, we'd definitely stay at the St. Regis again for the service and new, nice rooms.

What made the stay feel special was how much the whole team looked after us. Josh from the Butler service was thoughtful and respectful, remembered our names, and kept checking that everything was okay. He really couldn't do more for us. The pool, beach, and housekeeping staff were just as friendly and helpful. They made us feel like family.

We had a lovely honeymoon here in winter 2025, using points for the stay. As Platinum members, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite, which made the trip feel extra special. Housekeeping was great about our late starts. We often didn't head to the pool until 1-2pm, and they took care of the room once we went out. We could always find pool chairs, and the beach staff were quick to clear towels from empty ones and help us find a spot. The beach itself is small, though, and the chairs are close together. The property has six pools, four for kids and two adults-only. The kid pools get direct sun and feel warmer; the adult pools are mostly shaded and cooler. We liked having shade for food and drinks, but those pools really are very cold. There's just one small hot tub for the whole property, and it was often full. We didn't mind much, since we're pretty go-with-the-flow, but it could matter if pools are a big part of your trip. Food and drink service by the pools was the main frustration. A couple of times we waited more than two hours just for someone to take our order, and one day nobody came at all, so we went off property for an alcoholic drink. When the servers did come around, they were warm and professional. It seemed like a staffing problem, with only 2 servers covering all 6 pools, rather than a problem with the team. Lola and Juan are the best. The location is excellent, with bars, clubs, and restaurants 10-25min away on foot. We didn't rent a car and wouldn't if we came back. The atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed to us, even though we heard some guests with high expectations voice frustrations about small details during the week. We enjoyed our stay, though it didn't quite feel like the usual St. Regis level of luxury and polish. To us it was closer to an upper-tier Marriott property. At around $500-$600/night or with a strong points redemption, we think it's worth it. We had a wonderful honeymoon and would return for a good points deal.

We were so impressed by the beach view from our suite, and the suite itself was amazing. My family and I spent 9 days here this past June at this new Marriott property on the Island, and the stay was fantastic. Our Butler took excellent care of us throughout. Service at the restaurants, bars, casino, and around the resort was top notch, and housekeeping was very good too. We had a lot of fun at the casino in the evenings, and the gym was excellent. I also had the pleasure of meeting GM Oliver Reschreiter, who has done an amazing job so far with this new resort. We're heading back this March for another visit.
