Karvan Hotel

Roshan, who manages the hotel, is very cooperative and makes sure the service is good. It's good value for money, and I'd recommend this as the best and cheapest option.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and I felt comfortable there. The location across from heydar aliyev Park is nice, and there’s free parking. The rooms are basic, but they do the job for the price, and the A/C kept the room cool.

The breakfast was a mess. I’d paid extra for it, but when I asked in the morning, a different receptionist said there was no breakfast and returned my money. I’ve had better service in village homestays. When I arrived, the staff were rude and couldn’t speak English or Russian. Maybe Gabala isn’t meant to be a tourist town, but they tried to overcharge me by 2 manats. It’s not about the amount, it’s the idea of ripping off a hotel customer. If you don’t know what customer service means, don’t run a hotel.

The service was awful. There was no kettle in the room, the air conditioner made noise, and there wasn’t a hair dryer. The staff behaved badly. The toilet flush didn’t have a button, and we had to use a slipper. After checkout, they wouldn’t help us put our bags in the car. Terrible service.
