We travel to meet people and see what a place is like, so having such a friendly, outgoing host meant a lot. They were happy to chat and offered us tea or coffee, fruit and pastry. We aren't tourists who expect everything to feel like home. We come as visitors to share the experience of somewhere different. Thank you, my friend, for the hospitality and friendship. Wendy R. and I visited during our World Geography Tour. Peace!

Elbrus and his wife looked after us wonderfully, and we don't think they realized how uncomfortable the setup was. Their kindness couldn't make up for all the restrictions, though. We stayed about five days in an apartment shared with the owners, which Booking hadn't mentioned. We barely got an hour of privacy. Our room had no lock, and the wardrobes were filled with the owners' clothes, so we couldn't use them. The advertised AC didn't work at all and was so noisy it sounded like a tractor in the room. The bathroom seemed about 60 years old and was disastrous, and hot water was hard to make sense of. Rest was impossible when the owners were making noise from around 8 o'clock.
