Old City Ganja Hotel

Coming from India, we felt very warmly welcomed by the hotel staff, who even upgraded our room for free. Everyone was extremely helpful, and housekeeping did a very good job. Breakfast was nice too. The hotel sits in the heart of the city, with a lovely place to walk just outside. We’d give it 5/5 and recommend it to tourists visiting.

The room had no real view, despite being booked as a city view, since it faced the back of another building. Breakfast was served in a small area and had limited choices. Still, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary minibar items were a nice extra. We stayed in the Luxury Quadruple Room, which was very spacious for two. The hotel grounds are much larger than they appear from outside, and it’s close to the main, though few, sights within Ganja. We only stayed one night, but it seems like a good base for seeing the city and attractions on its outskirts.

We were upgraded to a suite, which made our stay very comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. Most sightseeing spots are within walking distance, since the hotel is centrally located.

Breakfast was good, and the service staff were attentive. The bathrooms, though, had poorly fitted fixtures: toilet seats, toilet paper holders, and soap dispensers wouldn’t stay in place. We also had a night without hot water. The staff tried their best to resolve things, gave us complimentary fruit, and moved us between rooms more than once to make up for the problems. The fault lies with whoever outfitted the bathrooms and the person who hired them.
