The spa on floor -1 and the room refrigerator weren't working, and neither was the air conditioner. It was 28 degrees outside and 30 in the room, but reception told us air conditioning wasn't in season. There was just one towel, and it had holes. The room also smelled very strong as soon as we walked in. When I told the supervisor, he said that was normal and suggested opening a window. Then I found out my key card could unlock two other rooms as well as ours. We should have left right then. I've stayed at hotels in many different places, and this one doesn't deserve its advertised four stars. Be careful.

The pool looks lovely, though being boxed in between walls makes it a little dull. Breakfast was great, and the guys serving us were excellent. The manager treated me very well, but one receptionist was trying to get money from us for every service we requested, even using the iron. Rooms were clean but only average, and the hotel needs maintenance. It's said to be the best in Ismaili, but I don't think it earns four stars. Its location works well between Baku and Gabala.

I'd give it zero if I could. The place feels dingy, and the staff don't seem to care about the smelly rooms or honoring prices listed on well-known sites. Better to stay 20 minutes south at another resort.

We had such a good time here. The staff were warm and helpful, and we spent two memorable nights at the hotel bar. Prices felt reasonable, and the location was perfect.
