Drina Hotel

The staff were outstandingly friendly and capable, and that's what made this a five-star stay for me, even though I went back and forth between four and five. Everyone was so helpful that I could overlook some flaws. The hotel and room were clean, but not spotless. There was some hair beside the bed, and the carpet, originally green, was stained and badly in need of washing or replacement. The curtains had seen cleaner, whiter days. The discoloration was probably from the generally poor air quality in that part of Bosnia, but it was still noticeable.

The hotel has its own parking for vehicles, with 24/7 monitoring. It also has an included Spa center. The location is excellent, near the centre and the well-known places to visit while you're in Bjelina. It's a great hotel with tasty food. If you're planning to stay in Bjeljina, I'd highly recommend it.

The food and service were great, and otherwise everything was good. But when I tried to pay by credit card, they switched the amount to dollars instead of km, using a very poor exchange rate, the lowest I've ever seen. Be careful and pay cash.

The hotel is new and has parking in the city center, but it certainly isn't worth the money. After its recent renovation, the design and workmanship still fell below what I'd expect from a hotel like this. The furniture was cheap, unattractive, and dysfunctional. The bathroom was so cramped you couldn't turn around, and the lamp sat right above the pillow. Breakfast was a real disappointment. The staff were unkind and seemed to have no desire to work. The poor planning shows throughout the hotel, and they need to improve every part of the place.
