Hotel Monti Spa&Wellness

The hotel is beautiful, and the natural surroundings are amazing. It has a pleasant atmosphere, and some staff members were kind and professional, which I appreciated. Still, there were several disappointing moments. I asked to change rooms because of the view, but was refused, even though many rooms seemed empty with their doors open. On checkout day, I’d been kindly granted a late checkout until 2 PM. Staff then came into my room suddenly without knocking properly, raised their voices, and spoke to me in Bosnian, which made me uncomfortable. Earlier, the receptionist kept me waiting about 30 minutes while finishing a phone call. A luggage cart was available when I checked in, but not provided at checkout, so I had to carry my bags one by one. I hope management improves some staff’s professionalism, because the place has real potential.

Only the restaurant waiter was a very nice guy. The director of the Hotel was very bad educated, with just no way to discuss anything with her. Room service was terrible: the room wasn’t cleaned well each day, and towels and soap were missing. They moved us to another room midway through our stay. A party below our room played loud arabic music until 03.00 night, and there was no way to get the volume lowered.

The pool water and the room were both too cold, and our room was dirty. The TV had no channels because the cable didn’t work. A very bad experience this year, and we won’t return. Value for money: 0.

The reception staff, both gentlemen and ladies, were friendly and professional. Mustafa, Salma, and Ildiza were especially helpful, and their assistance truly came from the heart. Thanks as well to Adnan, the maintenance manager, for his support and professionalism. The hotel is in the beautiful Igman area, with mountains and stunning scenery, plus convenient car parking and a playground garden for children. Our clean room and bathroom had a balcony with a wonderful view. There were some drawbacks: the fridge made all the drinks inside very hot, almost like a microwave, and the bathroom exhaust fan was annoyingly noisy. Breakfast was average, though the baked croissants stood out. Unfortunately, the restaurant was disappointing, with very poor quality food and a staff member named Ameer who was disrespectful and rude.
