Hotel BM International

The hotel is near the tram, and the rooms are enormous and warm, almost like flats. But they didn't clean the room, just took away the rubbish. The restaurant food was really terrible, apparently two or three days old. Some guests wouldn't eat there and went out instead, even though dinner at the hotel restaurant had been paid for in advance. We might come back, but not for the food.

We stayed three nights, and the affordable rates are probably the hotel's main appeal. The location is fairly close to the airport but a long way from central Sarajevo, which is a big thing to consider when choosing it. Our room was spacious, almost a small apartment, with a kitchen. Since it's an old building, there was some wear and a few shortcomings. The supplied soap and shampoo were very poor quality. Breakfast had lots of choice, but most of it seemed stale, as if left from the previous day. A real disappointment.

We reserved months ahead for our family of four, but the room we were given was in very bad shape. It had no toilet paper or towels, no bathroom ventilation and no hooks in the bathroom. The person at the front desk said that was all they had for me, then went to look for towels. Very disappointing. We won't be back.

We were generally satisfied with our stay. The apartment, and the hotel overall, were quite clean. Our two main complaints were the fabric shower curtain and the bed, which creaked at the slightest movement. The bedroom furniture and the rest of the furnishings were quite nice. We'd booked for two people, and the apartment we got had a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, plus a living room with a kitchen and a bathroom.
