We’d reserved the whole house six months ahead because comfort and peace mattered to us. On the day we arrived, though, the property manager changed the booking and offered a much lower standard apartment in a block of flats for only a little less. We negotiated a small discount, but it still wasn’t worth the money. After a long, tiring journey, we reluctantly stayed. This was the worst place we’ve had across all our many trips to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The manager’s comment that “this apartment will be better for you” was especially irritating. How could he know what was better for us? It showed no professionalism. Think twice before booking this house if you don’t want to end up in a dingy block of flats.

A broken glass panel in the front door was the worst problem. The bed was uncomfortable, there was lots of dust and even a lost sock underneath it, and the room was very warm with only a mobile AC unit. There were no mosquito nets on the windows, and we kept hearing a neighbor spitting in the backyard. There was no parking or green space either. The location could be good, but these shortcomings affected our stay a lot. There’s definitely room for improvement.

We were six bikers, and there was plenty of room for us in the courtyard and garage to keep our motorbikes. The owner greeted us right away and showed us around the beautiful, spacious, clean house. We spent the evening in the great garden with a beer. Since it’s right in the city center, we ate at one of the nearby restaurants. Everything was wonderful. Thanks!
