Guesthouse Best

The meals were mostly good. Breakfast coffee was the exception, and the same things were served each time. Lunch and dinner were consistently great, apart from the wines. The managers were kind and polite, but the rooms weren't cleaned properly. Floors and bathroom were left dirty, including the old, dirty curtain, sink, and shower tray. There was no towel rack outside the shower, bidet, hair dryer, or small shower gel or shampoo kit, just wall-mounted dispensers. The beds were incredibly hard, with no slats, just a base and old mattresses, and the sheets weren't entirely clean. This felt more like a guesthouse than a real hotel, and the rooms were small. I didn't sleep for three nights. One night at 2:30 AM, a spider bit my hand. The bite hurt when I put disinfectant on it, which thankfully I'd brought. The next night I saw the spider on the window curtain. I walked across the bed to squash it, but it jumped under my pillow. The managers need to do more to learn about cleaning rooms if they want guests to return. I don't think I'll be coming back to Medjugorje. Thank you, and God bless you.

The family running this inexpensive hostel is very nice. It's comfortable and quiet, and a good place to stay close to Apparition Hill.

The service was friendly, and the food was delicious. The rooms are simple but clean.

I haven’t stayed at this guest house myself, but from the outside it looks beautiful and well cared for.
