Guesthouse Adi

There are three rooms on the third floor, with two toilets and two showers shared there. Each room has very effective air conditioning and comes with two towels, but there are no hairdryers or personal lockers. The Wi-Fi was so poor it was basically unusable. You can leave your luggage for free after checking out at 10:00.

The hostel is clean, comfortable, and well located, but what stayed with me most was the sense of community. The owner welcomed me like an old friend and clearly loves sharing Bosnia and Herzegovina's history and beauty. He knows Mostar inside out, and hearing his stories about the city and its people brought it alive far better than a guidebook could. Talking with him left me wanting to explore and understand the local culture more. I left with a full heart and a deeper appreciation of Mostar, thanks to this place. Highly recommend it if you want a memorable, authentic experience.

We found Guesthouse Adi while looking for a hostel, and the lovely courtyard and atmosphere immediately stood out. You can have free coffee whenever you like, and share cheap beers with Adi and the other guests. One night, after we came back from the city, Adi was still up and we talked about Tito and Yugoslavia's history until 2:30 am. I'm grateful I got to meet someone so passionate about his hostel.

Staying here made our holiday. Adi is kind, smart, and amazing, and you end up feeling like family rather than a guest. His full-day tour was fantastic: he takes you all over and explains what you need to know about Bosnia and Herzegovina. If you're a nice, respectful person, you might get to try his delicious homemade rakia. It was surreal to us that everyone, whatever their age, extended their stay, but Adi has made a fantastic place for a holiday. We'll come back someday.
