Motel Villa Luxe

The room was spacious and clean, and Alan was happy to take us in even though we booked after check-in time had passed. He also picked us up from the restaurant. He was a wonderful person, always smiling and ready to help, and made our stay comfortable. The hotel is about five minutes from the old bridge. Breakfast was good, and the women in the kitchen were very helpful. They even made us lovely tea for our long drive straight to Budapest.

It was about a ten-minute walk to the bridge, with shops along the way, and the location was really nice. The staff were friendly and parking was free. The room wasn’t the nicest I’ve stayed in, but there was nothing bad enough to put me off.

The room was very nice and clean, and we had a lovely view from the window. There are a few parking spots right beside the hotel. It’s in a great location, fairly close to the historic center.

Photos don’t show everything, so there were a few things we didn’t realize before arriving. The staff were friendly, especially Zaynep, who helped us at breakfast and with the washing machines. You can’t really find five-star hotels in Mostar, so this is close to the best you can get. The bathroom was very small, though maybe that’s because I’m fat, I’m not sure :) and the floor was slippery and needs fixing. The rooms are a pretty good size for sleeping, but if you leave the AC on all night it gets extremely cold, so you need to open the window. Breakfast is included but the choices are limited. Zaynep will make you an omelet or sunny-side-up eggs, though :) I do recommend trying “ burek “ somewhere in Mostar, it’s great with tea or any juice. There’s no elevator, by the way! Their card machines break often, so it’s better to bring some cash.
