Pansion Palace

Džaneta was a wonderful host, and the studio’s location near the Old bridge was easily its best feature. The street below is busy and a bit noisy, though. We had trouble sleeping through three hot nights in Mostar: the wall insulation seemed poor, and the studio heated up quickly without the AC, which was only so-so. We had to leave it running at night, and that wasn’t pleasant. The mattresses were too soft, and the bedsheets and towels smelled, probably because they’d stayed wet too long before drying. The furnishings are quite old, so I understand it may not be sparkling clean, but it could have been cleaner. It’s quite cheap, yet considering its current condition, it felt overpriced.

The place was spacious, clean, and tidy, and perfectly located for the center. The air conditioning was a bit noisy at night, and the kitchen had limited crockery. Breakfast, a hair dryer, shampoo, and conditioner weren’t included.

Pension Palace is right in the center of Mostar, just a snap from the heart of the old town, yet on a quiet part of town. The owners are some of the loveliest and most helpful people you could meet. When our car broke down badly as we entered Mostar, Janetta helped us get everything fixed right away. We felt more cared for there than anywhere else. We’ll love Pension Palace for the rest of our lives. No doubt, fully recommended, and a great way to start your Bosnian adventure!

The room was cold, and the air conditioning couldn’t warm it enough. The lady, though, was amazing, so kind and helpful :))
