The rooms are bigger than at the other nearby hotels, but the price is higher too, and I expected more service for that cost. Guests came from around the world, though there were many elderly retired people during our stay. You get a colored plastic wristband on arrival, blue or yellow depending on which meals are included. Drinks cost extra regardless of your package. The lobby is impressive, with lots of seating and a bar, and the reception staff were extremely friendly. Other staff were often stressed, impatient, and unfriendly, much like I’ve experienced elsewhere in Bosnia. I found I had to be kind and hope for the same in return. The restaurant has plenty of seats, comfortable chairs, and a great sea view. The buffet setup means standing in a slow-moving queue with lots of people, so dinner at another restaurant in town might be better. Breakfast was okay, but for a hotel of this size and quality, the food overall was below average. Even water at dinner costs extra, about 3.5€ for water or a small soft drink, which felt strange. The bathroom is spacious, with a large basin and an okay shower flow, though it’s a bit difficult to get the water temperature right. From the balcony you can choose a sea or garden view. The sea view is preferable, but costs a little more. The beds are basic but acceptable, while the pillows aren’t up to the standard you’d expect. I requested an extra pillow but never got it. There’s an empty mini fridge, but it doesn’t get very cold, so you may want to buy water nearby and chill it yourself. There are lots of Croatian flags around, and phones and internet switch to the Croatian network. Hotel internet is free but rather slow at 20Mbit/s, enough for social media. The indoor seawater pool is heated, more or less, and there’s a small dry sauna and a steamy hamam. The large terrace pool isn’t heated, so it’s very cold early in the season. A long tunnel with massive doors leads to the pebble beach, which is beautiful, though there were no sun loungers because the season hadn’t really started. It felt like the tunnel might once have been a bomb shelter. A good hotel in some ways, but the quality and price don’t balance out.

Everything else was good, but there were ants in our room and we had to clear them out ourselves.

The pools were enjoyable, especially the infinity pool, and we really liked the delicious meals and clean, spacious rooms. The tunnel to the beach saves a lot of walking, so it gets five stars from me 😊👍 Most of all, a big thank you to everyone on the hotel staff. They were friendly and helpful, and answered our questions and requests with a smile. I’d read some nasty reviews before booking, but after staying there, I’d tell future visitors not to listen to those grumpy people who aren’t happy with themselves in the first place. We were a group, and the stay left all of us dissatisfied. The staff were grumpy and indifferent, treated our guests very rudely, refused to serve food, and left us feeling humiliated. We would never choose this terrible hotel again.
