Hotel Aziza

The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and we never had any trouble with the hot water or heating. It’s about a five-minute walk to Bascarsi, with a bit of a hill on the way, but it’s worth it. The pastries at breakfast come from the hotel’s own bakery, and hearing the story behind the hotel made us appreciate it even more. It’s a really warm family-run place. I’m sure I’ll stay here again when I come back.

The hotel was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, doing everything they could to make us comfortable. My husband is disabled, and they made an extra effort to help him. I can’t find words that do the place justice. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back.

We came as a group of 23 from Latvia, travelling in our own cars, and the hotel staff were very responsive and helped us park all of them. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were especially comfortable, and a special thanks for the lovely pillows. Breakfast was really tasty, too. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The hotel is a 7-10 minute walk from the old town, though coming back means going up a sloping street. There’s no restaurant at the hotel for dinner, but the staff suggested places in the old town. You can pay by card here. We definitely recommend staying if you’re planning a visit to Sarajevo.

The story of Mehmed and Aziza is such a lovely part of this hotel’s history. Each room has its own meaning, with numbers tied to important family moments, from opening their bakery and meeting to their wedding and the births of their children and grandchildren. Thanks for keeping that history alive and sharing it. The hotel is in the old town. Our room was clean and had a beautiful city view, and the hallways smelled really pleasant. Breakfast is included in the price.
