The Red Door Hostel

We slept really well and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. The place is quiet and clean, away from the city, with plenty of fresh air. We had a wonderful night.

The room was revolting: stained sheets, hair in the bathroom, dust everywhere, broken furniture, and a constant damp, moldy smell. The air conditioning didn’t work, the windows wouldn’t open properly, and the walls were so thin we could hear everything next door. We cut our stay short because the place was unbearable. We’d booked an accessible room, but the bathroom rails were broken, the shower barely worked, and the bed frame was cracked. It felt completely unsafe for anyone with mobility issues. There was no lift, either, so you’re left hauling luggage up filthy staircases that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The lobby and hallways stank of stale cigarette smoke. Staff were smoking indoors, as if the place were some seedy bar from the 1980s. Disgusting. The food tasted like it had been sitting out for days. It was greasy, bland, and almost inedible. I wouldn’t feed it to a stray dog. The staff were rude, careless, and had no interest in helping. When we complained, they just shrugged and kept chatting among themselves. From the moment we walked in, the whole stay was a nightmare. This so-called hotel should be shut down. It was a health hazard. Save your health, money, and misery: DO NOT STAY HERE.

There were so many rules, and at times they felt overly strict. We were told not to stretch our legs in the garden or eat outside. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel the staff were very welcoming toward Turkish guests. If you’re Turkish, you may want to look at other places to stay.

I went there with my school on a field trip, and it was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. There were stains on every bed, used shower caps, overflowing bins, and bugs all over the rooms. Wouldn’t recommend it, not even in the apocalypse.
