We usually enjoy the hotels we stay at, but this was the biggest disappointment. We’d booked through Booking eight days earlier and asked about our reservation, but nobody got back to us. That wasn’t a big deal by itself. When we arrived, we parked nearby and waited 20 minutes for someone to show up. The woman who came then spent a while on the phone. Afterward, she told us our room had one bed instead of the two we’d requested. We complained that we’d been waiting and the room still wasn’t ready. She replied, “We have 17 rooms in our hotel,” as if that explained it. Plenty of hotels have 100 or more rooms and manage them just fine. On the way to our room, she started saying slurs about us in Serbian. She probably didn’t realize Serbian was quite similar to our language. We could understand that the room wasn’t ready, but talking shit about us over it was unfair and indecent. NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. Find somewhere that respects you at least a little.

The location is good and the staff were nice, though they didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Still, I’m giving it two stars overall. They advertise the place as four-star, but our room felt below two-star, more like a converted garage. The furniture and bathroom were old, and there was a smell from the bathroom. We paid EU40. I raised the misleading advertising at reception, and they asked, “What was wrong with the room/apartment?” That made me think they don’t know what a four-star place should look like.

Just a five-minute walk from the old town, with a clean room that matched the website photos and reasonable prices. The owner was nice and straightforward. Recommend it.
