Saint Peters Bay Barbados

We were really looking forward to staying at Saint Peter’s Bay and hoped to return there in the future. Instead, before the trip even began, we were left feeling unsupported and discouraged. Just weeks before we were due to travel, my partner had an unexpected medical issue and was told he couldn't fly for several weeks. We contacted the hotel right away, explained what had happened, and offered medical proof. We weren't asking for a refund without a reason, just to move the booking to a later date once he was cleared to travel. The reservation cost more than $15,000, yet the hotel refused to offer any flexibility. They said there would be no refund, credit, or date change, even with the health circumstances and documentation offered. Their response showed no care at all. We know businesses have policies, but hospitality should include empathy and discretion, especially around a medical emergency. Their unwillingness to show even a little compassion was deeply disappointing. We hope management rethinks how genuine emergencies are handled, since some flexibility could build goodwill and lasting loyalty.
