The SoCo Hotel

The staff and meals made our stay. We were there from Christmas 2025 through the New Year, and everyone was terrific, always ready to help. Over ten days, the food was faultless, freshly made, and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea and the evening meal. The girls serving were great, and Shane and Zac at the bar were amazing. The hotel could use a bit of freshening up here and there, but the food and staff more than made up for it. Thanks to everyone, and I very much hope to visit again soon.

Steps from the sand, with lovely ocean views, this beachfront hotel made for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean and stylish, and the staff were friendly with great service. I’d happily come back.

We loved the small feel of The SoCo. With only 24 rooms, it was easy to get to know fellow guests, and we met some great characters. Our room had a comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a good view over the ocean. I only wished there were a mirror near a plug socket in the bedroom. The food was fresh, hot and cooked to order, with the menu changing every two or three days. Breakfast got a bit samey, so a rotation of dishes every few days would help. The staff were wonderful too. Michelle was a lovely host and gave a fabulous rum tasting, Shane kept us entertained with music and singing, and Zach brought a lovely smile and cheeky comments. Ayeesh and Shakeela in the restaurant were always friendly and smiling. The location worked really well, with a seafront boardwalk leading up to Rockley Bay and bars and restaurants along the way if you want a change. There’s a small beach with sunbeds, and further along the shore we found lovely places to lay out a towel. Around the pool, more sunbeds would be useful, perhaps in place of some of the casual seats that didn’t seem to get much use. Some areas could use a little TLC: the restaurant needs brightening, the corridors need paint, and the sunbeds need replacing. A coffee machine in the bar would be a nice addition too. These are just observations. The hotel’s a gem, and we’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Our flight was cancelled, and Delta paid to put us up here. The location was great, right by what I thought was the best beach in the area. Manager Cindi helped us tremendously by coordinating our transportation and accommodation with Delta. Giddeon at the front desk was also very kind, and the service overall was some of the best I’ve experienced.
