I can only comment on the room I stayed in. It was filthy and smelled awful. The bathroom was dirty, with hard water buildup on the faucets, and the towels were dingy. The doors were very dirty too, and there were roaches in the closet. The room’s overall look and feel was scornful. I took photos and would post them if I could. The staff were pleasant, especially the female security guard.

The staff were pleasant when you saw them, but my room was unclean and in disrepair, with no hot water. The appliances badly needed servicing, and the Wi-Fi was unusable. It’s also supposed to be an adults-only property, yet I saw some young children there.

The first five days of my holiday were affected by a double booking. I was sent to very second-rate accommodation three miles away, with no beach and not even a sea view. When I finally got into Divi Beach, I found a very tired apartment with several maintenance issues. Beware, this hotel has a bad name for double booking.

The property is clean and well maintained, and the staff are pleasant. There’s no pool on site, but you can use the one next door. You get a beach view, though the water can be very rough at times.

If you want peace and quiet and a chance to get away from it all, this is a great boutique resort with large rooms. I normally stay at the larger DIVI Southwinds, but this was a nice change of pace and let me unwind quite a bit.
