Treasure Beach Art Hotel, Barbados, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Breakfast was a treat. Everything looked beautiful, tasted great, and was topped up regularly as things ran low. The surroundings were calm, clean, and relaxing, and each request was handled quickly and with a smile. When we asked for extra items, they brought them without hesitation. The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever come across. Some even said a warm hello as they passed on their way to work, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed their jobs. One of the most enjoyable breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. I’d recommend it and plan to visit again.

Every day the room was cleaned, and any extra coffee or water we asked for was brought up. The hotel also has activities and watersports. The beach is beautiful, and the water is so clear you can see fish without a mask. They bring cold towels and a cold snack while guests sunbathe. The staff are brilliant, friendly, genuine, kind, and always accommodating. The à la carte food is tasty, freshly made, and nicely presented, with plenty of choices. Everyone, from the bartenders and waitresses to the chef and cleaners, was excellent, but Chantel really makes the difference 🙂

We had a lovely stay overall, with great sunsets, comfortable accommodation, and daily swims among the sea life. Still, for the price, there’s room for improvement. We came for five all-inclusive nights at the start of March, and although the hotel knew our 11 AM arrival time, our room was already ready, a nice surprise. Staff were welcoming, helped with our bags, and showed us around. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, with a bedroom plus a separate sitting room that opened onto a ground-floor patio. There were TVs in both rooms, a stocked mini fridge with beers and soft drinks that could be replenished, and separate air-conditioning units. The huge bed had wonderfully soft, high-quality sheets and pillows. The spacious bathroom had a bath, a big shower with lovely toiletries, and automatic night lights behind the mirror and along the floor. The shower felt like a spa. There was plenty of storage, including a double wardrobe, a large chest of drawers, and side cabinets. Food was mixed. We were told buffet service would be every day except Sunday and Wednesday, but the schedule seemed random. The all-day menu had a decent variety and was usually served à la carte at lunch. Breakfast always had a buffet and a pre-order menu. We had à la carte dinner three of the five nights and found it OK, but the buffet wasn’t very good. We’d spent the previous five days eating around the island, where the food was excellent, so the hotel’s quality was disappointing by comparison. Drinks tasted very weak, even to my wife who doesn’t drink much. The cocktails were nice, but we had to ask for more rum, especially given the island’s history with rum. Housekeeping, including cleaning and turndown, was excellent, and our room was always immaculate. Restaurant and bar service depended on the person. Some staff were fun and friendly, while others bordered on rude and seemed not to want to be there. Communal spaces were nice but small, and we could always find a sunbed by the pool or sea. Stairs lead straight down to a lovely beach. We snorkelled every day with our own gear and saw lots of sea life and tropical fish around the reef and rocks just outside the hotel. The experience might have been better if the sister hotels had been open. All but Waves were closed for refurbishment while we were there, and the water taxi to Waves stopped around 3 PM. That meant we could go for lunch but not dinner, which was Treasure Beach’s weakest meal. The other hotels being open would have added more choices of space and restaurants within walking distance.

We were welcomed with Rum Punch and taken to an unforgettable room, where a chilled celebratory bottle of champagne was waiting in our rooftop oasis. We never expected to have two ocean-view balconies. One came with a private plunge pool overlooking the breathtaking west coast, where I had coffee every morning. The food was five stars at every meal, nothing like the usual all-inclusive experience. Everything was made to order, with fine dining at dinner and no stuffy dress code. The bartenders could make any drink. We could have eaten at a couple of nearby Marriott properties through partnerships, but we didn’t feel like going anywhere else. For excursions or tours, they’ll prepare a takeaway lunch or breakfast, and snacks are fresh and delicious in the coffee room. Christiana, Chris, Kaheem, Chawntel, and the rest of the team were genuinely hospitable, remembered us by name, and went out of their way to keep guests happy. We recommend this place 100% and can’t say enough good things about our stay.
