Blue Horizon Hotel

Dale’s care is what made my stay at Blue Horizon Hotel so special. After JetBlue cancelled all flights because of an aircraft recall, I was unexpectedly stuck in Barbados, anxious about missing work and not knowing when I could get home. I booked a room hoping for a little peace. Dale noticed how worried I was and told me, “Everything will work itself out.” Her kindness and calm helped me breathe again. The hotel itself was clean, welcoming and had everything I needed. It’s quiet and relaxing, just steps from the beach. Those unexpected three extra days became a little slice of paradise thanks to Dale’s genuine care. Thank you, Dale, you were a blessing. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. Blue Horizon Hotel and Dale made all the difference.

My room was spotless and comfortable, with everything I needed, and the location was close to everything while still feeling peaceful. Every staff member I met was kind, attentive and friendly, which made the stay easy and welcoming. I left feeling relaxed and well looked after. I’d gladly stay here again next time.

Blue Horizon is a three star hotel, so it helps to set expectations accordingly. Breakfast was simple: coffee, tea, at least three kinds of fruit, toast, jam, butter, cream cheese and yoghurt. The staff were always helpful, and special thanks to the cleaning team. We were in room 208. We spent a week there over Christmas and loved it. The room was spotless and quiet, and the location across from the beautiful Rockley Beach was excellent. Restaurants are nearby, and a larger grocery store is about a ten minute walk away. I can hardly wait to get back. Thanks to everyone at Blue Horizon!

Blue Horizon has been our second home for years. Mel and I love our room, feel comfortable with the staff as family, and know we can count on them when we need help. It was a rough year and a difficult holiday for us. Mel lost his thyroid medication and kept sleeping, so Dale kindly drove me to Lewis Drug Store to pick it up after David Lewis had prepared some for him. Then I became quite seriously ill, and everyone was there for me. When my iPad stopped working and I had to get a new one, they helped set it up and transfer all my information. I’m still not well, but we knew we weren’t alone. The location is also good, opposite beautiful Rockley Beach and Quayside Mall. It’s hard to name everyone because the whole team was so caring and helpful: Dale, Angela, Erica, Amari, Khalil, Pedro, Paul, Mr. King, Rodney, and our main cleaning Lady Kimberly, who did an excellent job every time, along with many others. There’s also a very nice gardener, even a singing gardener. I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few people I see in front of me but can’t name. Sonia does a very good job keeping the cleaning staff on top of things and making sure everyone has what they need. The owners are blessed to have such capable, caring staff. Thank you all for your efficiency and kindness. I’ll keep recommending Blue Horizon to anyone I know coming to beautiful Barbados. In Gods Mercy and Goodness, we hope to visit again next year.
