I really appreciated the eco-friendly touches and the lodge's care for the environment. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the staff were warm and happy to share local tips or help with whatever we needed. Surrounded by nature, it was a peaceful place to unplug and relax. I'd happily stay at Eco Lifestyle Lodge again, and recommend it for a quiet, refreshing break in Barbados.

I'm a local and haven't stayed there, but I've eaten at the restaurant many times. The house-made smoky ketchup and fresh-cut fries show the attention they give to small details, and you can taste the care in the food. It's easily among the island's best for quality, originality, and flavour. The Atlantic breeze, the view, and the atmosphere feel like paradise. Their menu is especially welcoming for gluten-free diners, and the in-house options are better than any I've tried. A trip out east to spend time at the restaurant and grounds is well worth it. I can't recommend the chef and restaurant enough.

We stayed in three different places in Barbados, and this was our favourite. It's peaceful and relaxed, much quieter than the south and west, with great facilities. The hotel also has different events and activities to try during your stay. If you want somewhere luxurious away from the main tourist areas, this is a good place to stay.

The restaurant had a creative, varied menu, lovely vegetarian choices, and excellent service. From a deck, either your own or the restaurant's, you can look out over the Atlantic and enjoy the breeze. It's a tranquil spot in a gorgeous Caribbean setting, well suited to anyone wanting quiet away from Barbados's busy West Coast. The road to the lodge needs work and has seen better days, so take care. Also, swimming isn't safe on this part of the island.
